Ten districts, four quite different plumbing realities. Knowing what is likely to be behind the wall before we open it is half the job — here is how the work actually changes across our coverage area.

Sanur: Galvanised Pipe on Borrowed Time

Sanur's older villas and family compounds were plumbed decades ago in galvanised steel, and that pipe rusts from the inside out. The first signs are brown morning water, falling pressure and the occasional pinhole weep through a wall. Patching one section rarely ends it, because the rest of the run is usually in the same condition. Most of our Sanur work is staged replacement — swapping the worst runs to PPR one bathroom at a time, so the house stays liveable while the old steel retires.

Canggu and Berawa: New Builds, Hidden Surprises

The newest villas on the island, and the most variable build quality. Pipework here is buried in walls and slabs, which looks clean right up until a rushed joint lets go behind the tiles. Developer-grade taps, flexes and valves are often the cheapest that money can buy, and the first year of ownership is when they show it. We pressure-test to locate hidden faults precisely instead of guessing where to cut, and we upgrade the weakest fittings before they choose their own moment to fail.

Ubud: Gravity, Slopes and Hard-Working Pumps

Villas stacked down river valleys mean serious height differences between the water source, the tank and the taps. Ground-floor bathrooms hammer and splash while top floors barely flow, and pumps run harder here than anywhere else on the island. Ubud jobs are mostly hydraulics: correctly sized booster pumps, pressure-reducing valves on the low floors, and pipe routes planned around the terrain rather than against it.

The Bukit and the Coast: Salt, Wind and Corrosion

Uluwatu, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua sit on limestone in salty air, and some wells on the Bukit pull water that is slightly brackish. Chrome pits, brass seizes, heater elements and anode rods die young. For these areas we fit corrosion-resistant fittings, recommend the right filtration where the well water is aggressive, and put anodes and elements on a shorter inspection cycle so the salt never gets a head start.
