Freestanding white bathtub with floor-mounted black tap in a Bali villa bathroom

A freestanding bathtub photographs beautifully and sells villas on Airbnb — which is why so many get bought before anyone asks where the water comes from. A floor-mounted filler tap needs a supply line under the slab, exactly where it stands. The drain needs to land on the tub's outlet position with proper fall. If those two questions get answered before the tub is ordered, installation is a clean one-day job. If they get answered after, it involves a jackhammer. Ask us first — the consultation costs nothing.

Bathtub Services We Provide

Freestanding Tub Installation

Acrylic and composite freestanding tubs with floor-mounted or wall fillers. We plan the under-slab supply route, set the drain with correct fall, and level the tub so the water line sits even — visible in every photo if it isn't.

Carved Stone Bathtubs

Bali's solid stone tubs weigh 300–700kg before water. We assess floor loading, move and position them safely, seal the natural stone and fit drainage that can be serviced without lifting half a tonne.

Built-In Tub Replacement

Swap or remove built-in tubs: demolition of the old surround, new tub set on a proper mortar bed, tiling substrate, and an access panel for the trap so the next repair doesn't need a chisel.

Tub Removal & Conversion

Removing an unused tub for a walk-in shower is one of our most common renovation jobs. Includes demolition, drainage rework, waterproofing the whole footprint and substrate ready for tiling.

What Decides Cost on a Bathtub Job

Three questions set the price more than the tub itself. Where is the drain? If the existing floor drain lands within reach of the tub's outlet with downhill fall, you're in the simple case. If drainage has to move, the floor opens. Where does the filler's water come from? Wall-mounted fillers use existing wall lines; floor-mounted fillers need a buried supply stub at exact coordinates. And what does the floor carry? Acrylic tubs are light; a filled stone tub can exceed a tonne over one square metre — fine on a ground slab, a structural question on an upper floor.

We answer all three in a free assessment visit, then the quote is fixed. Waterproofing of the area the tub touches — and the old footprint, when replacing — is always part of our job, because tile lines near tubs are where Bali bathrooms leak into the rooms below.

How It Works

Full fill-and-drain test, silicone finishing, 30-day guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does bathtub installation cost in Bali?

Labour runs IDR 1,000,000–2,500,000 depending on drainage and supply work, including waterproofing. Stone tub positioning and under-slab filler lines add to that — quoted fixed after assessment.

Can my floor take a stone bathtub?

Ground-floor slabs almost always yes; upper floors need a look at the structure. A filled stone tub plus bather can exceed 1,000kg — we check before you buy the tub.

Can you convert my bathtub to a walk-in shower?

Yes — removal, drainage rework, waterproofing and tiling substrate. Typically 2–3 days including curing time for the waterproofing.

How long does a freestanding tub install take?

With drainage and supply already in the right place, one day. With under-slab work, 2–3 days including concrete patching.
