Rain shower head streaming water in an open-air Bali stone shower

The saddest purchase in Bali bathrooms is the big 40cm rain shower head bought for a villa with 1.2 bar of water pressure. Instead of tropical rain you get a sparse dribble from a third of the nozzles — physics, not a faulty product. Large rain heads need roughly 1.5 bar to perform; plenty of gravity-fed villa systems deliver less than 1. So before you buy, we check your actual pressure at the shower line. Sometimes the answer is a smaller head, sometimes a booster pump — either way you know before spending, not after.

Shower Services We Provide

Rain Shower Installation

Ceiling and wall-arm rain heads from 20 to 40cm, with the line pressure measured first so the head you buy actually performs. Includes concealed pipe runs for ceiling-mounted heads where the structure allows.

Mixers, Valves & Sets

Thermostatic and manual shower mixers, diverters for head/hand-shower combos, and full set replacement when the old chrome has pitted. We replace the in-wall valve seals at the same time — that's where tomorrow's leak lives.

Open-Air & Garden Showers

Bali's signature outdoor showers: stone-walled, plant-surrounded, open to the sky. We run protected supply lines, fit corrosion-resistant fittings rated for outdoor use and set proper drainage so the area doesn't swamp.

Low Pressure Solutions

Weak shower diagnosis and repair: scale-clogged heads, half-closed valves, undersized lines or genuinely low pressure. When it's pressure, we size and install a booster pump — quiet, automatic and dramatically effective.

Why Bali Showers Disappoint — and the Fixes

Most weak showers here have one of three causes. Scale: well-water minerals clog shower head nozzles within a year or two — sometimes a vinegar soak revives a head, often the internal channels are too far gone and replacement is honest advice. Pressure: gravity-fed rooftop tanks deliver roughly 0.1 bar per metre of height, so a tank three metres above the shower head gives barely 0.3 bar — fine for a basic head, hopeless for rain heads. A compact automatic booster pump transforms the entire villa for a moderate cost.

And for outdoor showers specifically: standard indoor fittings corrode fast in open tropical air. Stainless 304-grade or brass fittings cost slightly more and last years longer — we fit those by default outdoors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my rain shower weak?

Either scale-clogged nozzles or insufficient pressure — large rain heads need about 1.5 bar. We diagnose which it is; the fix ranges from a head clean to a booster pump.

Can you build an outdoor shower?

Yes — supply runs, outdoor-rated fittings, drainage and the connection points for your stone or bamboo enclosure. It's one of our most-requested jobs.

What does a shower installation cost in Bali?

A shower set swap is IDR 250,000–500,000 labour. Concealed rain head installations and outdoor builds depend on pipe runs — we quote fixed after photos.

Do I need a booster pump?

If your pressure is under about 1 bar and you want rain heads or strong flow on multiple outlets, yes. We size pumps to the villa, typically IDR 400,000–800,000 labour plus the unit.
